Alien Links from Beyond
Global Links Outside Colorado

Mondo Models provides nonlocal links only by very limited editorial preference mainly to noncommercial sites. Some of these links are examples of counterculture photography. But the topical link themes will diversify as we add more links. We will be offering links for ethnic American style, bizarre and subcult web sites.

  • Bizarre Magazine <BizarreMag.com> - This leading (monthly) glossy has a pulp heart with news and features on aberant behavior, sex and violence and graphic images of death. Not for the faint hearted. Although it is quite disguisting, it has journalistic validity by serving as a way for ordinary people to monitor the relationship between horrid realities and counterculture.

  • Bombshells <Bombshells.com> - A popular site focused on Hollywood's leading ladies and some of its men as well.

  • Darenzia <Darenzia.com> - hot fetish model apparently based out of NYC. Agent Mondo loves the style of this model.

  • Gil Elvgren <GilElvgren.com> - Elvgren is one of the most collected pinup artists. His works span from the 1930s through the 1970s.

  • Hollywood Vine <HollywoodVine.com> - Small link directory in development for all things Hollywood. The grapevine to America's global and historical film epicenter.

  • Marilyn Manson <MarilynManson.com> - In the 1990s Marilyn revived American subculture with a look and substance that took up where Aladdin Sane left off. Marilyn (from Canton, Ohio) is also a homeboy of Agent Mondo who grew up in nearby Akron (although there is no direct connection between the two creatures).

  • Marquis <Marquis.de> - This leading fetish magazine displays the haute fashions of the Libertine movement. Web site is in German, English and French.

  • Marilyn Monroe <MarilynMonroe.com> - Marilyn Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson and then renamed Norma Jeane Baker, was nicknamed "America's sweetheart" because she had a sincere childlike heart to go with her grownup beauty. She was deeply loved by ordinary people everywhere. She grew up in foster homes and an orphanage, became a pinup doll and then an actress. She was an early model for Hugh Heffner's Playboy magazine. She entertained American troops in Korea. In the 1950s and early 60s she was the essence that most American woman wanted to be. Her shocking death in Los Angeles at a young age was caused by a drug overdose that conspiracy theorists thought had something to do with an alleged affair with President Kennedy or the Mafia or the power brokers of Hollywood, depending on who you talk to. Decades later she is still a role model for many woman who choose to be models or hope to be film stars.

  • One Model Place <OneModelPlace.com> - a vast interactive resource where conventional and counterculture models can post pictures and preference data. Site contains hundreds of thousands of model pages.

  • Skin Two <SkinTwo.com> - leading fetish fashion magazine. They also proiduce latex & PVC wears.

  • Taschen Books <Taschen.com> - A favorite publisher of underground art and culture.

  • Dita Von Teese <Dita.net> - Burlesque revivalist queen Dita is a leading role model for today's pinup dolls as well as being formerly married to Marilyn Manson.

Link Preferences:
The "Alien Links" page will provide only a very limited number of links and makes no effort to be comprehensive. There's just too much out there. Agent Mondo is not trying to get people to leave Mondo Models to other web sites. Therefore link suggestions may be routinely declined or occasionally accepted. A main purpose of the Alien Links page will be to show examples of counterculture and retro images that relate to Mondo Models themes. We may allow about two dozen links here. We have many more on file to be added when time avails.
- The Alien Links page was started started 2003 May 28.
